StreamVault — Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

StreamVault is developed by Computer and Mobile. This policy explains exactly what the app does with information on your device, and what it does not. It covers every feature in the app, including ones that stay switched off unless you turn them on.

2. What we collect

We operate no servers and hold no accounts. There is no sign-up, no profile, and no way for us to identify you. Links you paste, files you download, your Vault contents and your browsing in the in-app browser stay on your device and are never sent to us.

The only information that leaves your device goes to Google's advertising and analytics services, described in sections 8 and 9.

3. Storage, network and notifications

Storage access saves downloaded video, audio and images into your gallery, or into a folder you pick yourself. Network access fetches the media you ask for. Notification permission shows download progress and playback controls. Where the app can change your ringtone, it asks for that permission separately and only when you tap the button that does it.

4. Usage Access — App Lock and the floating download button

These two features are off until you switch them on, and each asks for Usage Access first. It is used for one thing: to know which app is in the foreground, so a locked app can be covered by a PIN screen and the download button can appear only over the apps this one supports.

The answer is read and discarded. No record of which apps you open is kept, stored, or transmitted anywhere, including to us. Revoking the permission in Android settings stops both features immediately.

5. Display over other apps

Required only by App Lock and the floating download button, and only to draw this app's own lock screen or button on top of others. It does not let the app read, record, or interact with anything another app is showing.

6. In-app browser and optional proxy

The browser blocks known advertising and tracking hosts inside its own pages. It does not affect ads in any other app or anywhere else on your phone. Browsing history is kept on your device and can be cleared at any time, or automatically each time the app closes.

The browser can optionally be routed through a proxy server. This is off by default. You may enter a server yourself, or ask the app to test public proxy lists — public servers are run by unknown third parties, which the app tells you at the point of choice. Encrypted connections cannot be read by a proxy, because the app trusts only system certificate authorities and refuses unencrypted traffic. The app's own traffic, including advertising requests, always bypasses the proxy.

7. Vault

Files you move into the Vault are encrypted on your device using a key held in the Android Keystore, and stored in the app's private storage. They are never uploaded. Your Vault code is never stored — only a salted hash of it, which cannot be reversed.

Vault media is deliberately excluded from cloud backup; a direct phone-to-phone transfer carries it. Uninstalling the app deletes the Vault and everything in it.

8. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The app shows ads supplied by Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device's Advertising ID and standard signals such as approximate location, device model and app interactions to select and measure ads. This identifier is not tied to your name and can be reset or deleted at any time in Settings → Google → Ads on your device.

In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland you are asked for consent before personalised ads are shown, and you may change that choice later. Google's own handling of this data is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

9. Analytics (Google Firebase)

The app uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand which features are used and where the app fails, so it can be improved. It records events such as screens opened and actions taken, together with general device information like model, Android version and country.

It does not record the links you paste, the files you download, your browsing, or anything held in your Vault. This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify you.

10. Children

This app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided information through this app, contact us and it will be removed.

11. Your control and data deletion

Every feature that reads anything beyond the app can be switched off in Settings, and every permission can be revoked in Android settings. Because we hold no data about you on any server, there is nothing for us to delete on request.

To remove everything this app has stored, clear the app's data or uninstall it. For advertising and analytics data held by Google, use the controls in your Google account.

12. Compliance

To stay aligned with the Google Play Developer Program, the app contains a hard-coded block preventing connections to YouTube servers. It downloads only publicly accessible media and cannot bypass login walls or protected content.

13. Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the date at the top is updated and the new version appears here.
