Everything on this site is published in good faith and tested before it is written. This page explains the limits of that.

Guides are provided as they are
Each guide describes what worked on a specific setup at a specific time. Software versions change, hosting companies differ, and a command that is safe on one server may not be on another.
You are responsible for what you run on your own systems. Computer and Mobile accepts no liability for data loss, downtime, cost or any other damage arising from following a guide here.
Before you follow any guide
This is not legal boilerplate — it is the practical advice:
- Take a backup first. Database and files, and check the backup is actually readable.
- Try it somewhere that does not matter. A staging copy or a fresh server, not the site your business runs on.
- Read the whole guide before starting. Stopping halfway through a migration is worse than not starting.
- Understand each command before running it. Especially anything with
rm,DROPorchmod 777.
Costs and prices
Hosting, domain and service prices are given to help you plan. They change constantly and vary by provider and region. Always check the current price — and the renewal price — before buying anything.
External links
Guides link to software, documentation and services that are not controlled by this site. Those links are provided because they are useful, not as an endorsement, and their content can change at any time.
Advertising
This site shows adverts through Google AdSense. Advert content is chosen by Google, not by us. An advert appearing here is not a recommendation, and we have no relationship with the advertisers.
Source code sold on this site
Source code from the shop is sold as working software with documentation. It still needs configuring for your own server, domain and requirements. Support covers installation and build problems; it does not cover custom development, which is quoted separately.
No professional advice
Nothing here is legal, financial or professional advice. Where a guide touches on licensing, tax or regulation, it is a starting point for your own research, not a substitute for advice from someone qualified.
